Supporting Children and Unlocking Potential
At Footprint, we understand that every child is unique. Our mission is to help children and teens thrive by identifying their strengths and supporting them in areas where they may face challenges, whether in school, at home, or in social situations. Through compassionate, child centered neuropsychological evaluations, we work together with parents and caregivers to better understand each child’s needs and provide thoughtful, personalized recommendations.
What is a Psycho-educational, Learning Disability, or Neuropsychological Evaluation?
Evaluation and testing helps us understand how your child thinks, learns, and interacts with the world. This process involves activities and tasks designed to assess their thinking skills, academic abilities, social-emotional well-being, and daily functioning. Our evaluations are face-to-face, interactive, and tailored to fit the individual needs of your child.
Our goal is to identify both the strengths your child can build on and the areas where they may need extra support. By understanding these unique traits, we can recommend strategies, services, and accommodations to help them succeed at school, home, and beyond.

Social challenges or behavioral issues at home or school
What to Expect:
Evaluations typically take place over 2-3 meetings. Here's what the process looks like:
Intake Session: This is a relaxed meeting where Dr. Gomes will spend time with you and your child, answer questions, and explain what to expect during the evaluation.
Testing Sessions: Children complete a variety of tasks designed to assess areas like:
Problem-solving and reasoning
Memory and attention
Processing speed and reaction time
Social and emotional understanding
We ensure that children feel comfortable by including plenty of breaks and using a friendly, supportive approach. Testing can last 4-6 hours total, spread over several days.
