Learn More About Our Camp Activities
At Footprint, we believe that childhood is an opportunity to be curious and nurture the many parts of ourselves whether that be our feeling self, artistic self, athletic self, thinking self, friend self, and expressive self… just to name a few! Exploration of these many parts of our selves is the process every child goes through in their very unique journey of growing up. The opportunity to explore and nurture your child’s interests and curiosity in a small group setting with expert guidance is what differentiates Little Foot’s Half Day Camp from other traditional camps.
Small Group Setting: With limited enrollment, we ensure individual attention and a personalized experience for your child. A small group setting fosters a sense of security, belonging, and personalized attention, which will give your child the opportunity to feel more comfortable expressing themselves, asking questions, and forming meaningful connections with their peers. It also allows our staff the flexibility to tailor activities to the kid’s interests while promoting social confidence, belonging, and community!
Expert Guidance: Our experienced staff are dedicated to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for every child. All of our staff hold advanced degrees or certifications in their areas of expertise (i.e. child development, body and movement, social and emotional learning, etc..) Our staff bring a depth of understanding and experience that ensures activities are not only engaging but also enriching your child's social, emotional, and physical growth.
Focus on Holistic Well-being: Our wholistic approach addresses the emotional, social, and physical aspects of overall growth and development. Our wholistic approach will encourage your child’s physical, emotional and social well-being in the direction of empathy, cooperation, and resilience through collaborative play, shared experiences, and awareness of the connections between our emotional world and the body.
Benefits of a Holistic Approach to Your Child’s Growth and Happiness:
Fun and Enjoyment: Social groups offer children opportunities for play, laughter, and enjoyment, promoting happiness, relaxation, and stress relief in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Confidence Building: Through participation in various activities and achieving small milestones, children will build self-confidence and belief in their abilities.
Emotional Strength: Our program includes activities that promote emotional expression and resilience, opportunities to understand others, and learn coping skills to feel calm and in control.
Friendship: Making friends is crucial for your child’s growth as it fosters social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Through friendships, children learn important skills such as communication, cooperation, and empathy. Making friends helps them understand different perspectives, negotiate conflicts, and develop a sense of belonging and acceptance. Friendships also provide an opportunity for shared experiences, laughter, and companionship, which will positively contribute to their self-esteem and social confidence, resilience, and overall well-being
Increased Empathy and Understanding: By engaging with friends in social groups, children develop empathy and a deeper understanding of others' perspectives, feelings, and experiences.
Enhanced Self-Esteem and Confidence: Your child’s self-esteem and confidence will grow as they receive support, encouragement, and validation from their peers.
Conflict Resolution Skills: Your child will learn how to navigate conflicts, negotiate disagreements, and find solutions with the guidance and understanding of our staff.
Peer Learning and Collaboration: Our summer program will give your child the chance to learn from friends, share skills, and collaborate on tasks and projects.
Sense of Belonging: Your child will be a part of a community of caring and supportive friends and staff where they can feel acceptance and understanding which is at the heart of social and emotional well-being.
